A FESTIVAL of flowers and music will be held in Hovingham this weekend.
The celebration of village life will include more than 20 floral displays at All Saints Church and in the gardens of Hovingham Hall.
A preview night will take place on Friday at 6.30pm to 8.30pm, with music from Ampleforth and Ryedale Concert Choir with Will Dore and Ian Little on the organ. Tickets, including a glass of wine and canapes, are £10.
On Saturday, Swinton Brass Band, the Lally Family and St Peter’s School jazz band will be providing the entertainment from 11am to 6pm, with music from Philip Moore on the organ on Sunday, from 11am to 6pm, along with a Songs of Praise at 4pm. The event is in aid of Hovingham Church Roof Appeal.
