THREE artists are showcasing their work at an exhibition this week.
Fired, Drawn, Painted features multimedia artists Brian and Sally Tozer, along with painter Kezy Feaster and returns for a second year following the success of an inaugural exhibition in 2014.
Teaming up again to exhibit their fresh new collections, the four-day showcase of the diverse yet distinctive work of Kezy, Brian and Sally will be held at Pickering Memorial Hall.
Sally’s painted ceramic vessels and green man heads will be on show alongside playful scenes modelled on life in the North Yorkshire Moors. Sally continues to be inspired by local folklore and traditions.
Brian’s year has seen him make an array of work including semi-abstract panels inspired by corrugated sheds, bold figurative work and paintings inspired by the local landscape.
Kezy said she has retained her love of the Yorkshire coastline and Moors and continues to enjoy capturing them in her quirky style.
“My first works in oils will be on view,” she said. “There will also be an opportunity to purchase my new children’s book, Jack’s Big Idea, which I was commissioned to illustrate by author Lewis Fanner.”
Homemade cakes and refreshments will be available throughout the exhibition.
The exhibition is open from 10am to 5.30pm Friday to Sunday, and from 10am to 4.30pm on Monday.
l Weekend guide starts on Page 31 The artists will also be appearing at the Inspired by...Gallery at the Danby Moors Centre next month.
