THE award-winning LipService Theatre is back on tour with its hilarious take on a literary classic.
Last seen at the Stephen Joseph Theatre with Inspector Norse and Withering Looks, comedy duo Maggie Fox and Sue Ryding return next month to present The Picture of Doreen Gray, co-produced by Oldham Coliseum Theatre.
Doreen Gray has it all, a drive time radio show, a high-ratings lifestyle programme on Even More 4, but hitting 50, Doreen finds her face no longer fits the bill.
At a school reunion, she stumbles across a youthful self-portrait and makes a dreadful deal.
The production also features local community actors as Doreen’s schoolmates on stage and on film, with ages ranging from 16 to 90.
The Picture of Doreen Gray can be seen at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, in Scarborough, on Wednesday, November 5, at 7.30pm, Thursday, November 6, at 7pm, Friday, November 7, at 7.30pm and Saturday, November 8, at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
Tickets, priced from £10 to £21.50, are available on 01723 370541 and online at sjt.uk.com
