FOLLOWING the sell-out success of the James Martin gourmet dinner at The Talbot Hotel, in Malton, last month, general manager David Macdonald has now added extra places for the next date on April 8.

David said the places were being allocated only to people who live in the local area.

“We had a waiting list for our last event and it was noticeable that the majority of people on it were from in and around Malton and this set us thinking,” he said.

“It’s really important to us that local people should get a chance to join in our events.’’ The James Martin all-inclusive dinners offer diners the opportunity to sample a new seasonal menu with wines to match.

Guests gather for a fizz and canapés reception before being seated at party tables for a five-course tasting menu created and cooked by James, together with head chef Craig Aitchison and served with wines to match.

All inclusive tickets are £110 per person.

David said: “Everyone had a fantastic time at our last dinner and there was a real buzz when James kept popping out in his chef’s whites to talk to guests. After dinner, he chatted to everyone, answered questions, had his photo taken and signed books.”
