Barrie Tuck-Silverstone Classic

This picture was shot at the recent three-day Silverstone Classic where the cars from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s have a series of races around the famous track. There are more than eight different classes of cars from Formula One to Touring Cars to Le Mans racers. The trick for the image is to follow the car and blur the background to give the sensation of fast movement in a static shot.

Harry Kingman – Staxtonbury

This photograph was taken at the first day of the Staxtonbury Family Music Festival in early July, there were lots of talented bands, mainly from the pub circuit, producing excellent music, it was great to see people of all ages enjoying outstanding music.

David Ireland - The hunt and hounds

Taken at this year’s Ryedale Show.

Andrew Hollins - Stained glass restoration

The image was taken in the Stained Glass Centre in St Martins Road during a heritage day. The glass is from a church which is being converted into apartments. It is not yet clear where the finished result will be placed but they are hoping that all the windows will go to the same venue.

Liz Bassindale

Crowds that have gathered on the final run in to the arena at the Mountain Bike World Cup in Fort William get to enjoy the spectacle of the leaders leaping through the 'Scotland Arch'.

Richard Harrison – Balloons

The Pennine Balloon association launching from Marishes, near Pickering, adds a little colour to a grey autumnal morning.

Colin Dilcock – Apple Juice

Taken at the Helmsley Walled Garden Apple Day on October 8 showing the fresh apple juice display and tasting.

Lynn Wraith – Steam Plough

On a beautiful September weekend, I decided to pay a visit to my first-ever Ploughing Competition at Crockey Hill near York. Not only was the event the British National Ploughing Championships, but also an international contest with participants from all parts of the world. There were a variety of ploughing methods on show ranging from the traditional horse and hand plough to the noisy steam ploughing method, that required two steam engines at either end of the field to pull the plough along from one end to the other, as well as the modern variety of machines we know today. It was a great day and I managed to capture lots of interesting images.
