Farmers warned of slurry dangers
FARMERS have been warned about the dangers of slurry gases with the launch of a new leaflet by the National Farmers Union and the Farm Safety Partnership.
Decomposition of slurry can create hydrogen sulphide and has been the cause of a number of tragic accidents in recent years resulting in the death of people and animals.
The Farm Safety Partnership has produced the leaflet as part of its Stop! Think! Slurry Gas! campaign, which was launched this week.
