FOUR enthusiastic members of Friars Hill Pony Club pitted their wits against teams from other pony clubs and centres at the 2011 Staintondale Shield quiz in Wetwang Village Hall.
The Friars Hill Centre team won the quiz and along with their rosettes, they received an Easter egg each and the coveted shield, which will take pride at Friars Hill Stables in Sinnington. The quartet comprised Tatyana Heard, 16, from Kirkbymoorside, Rebecca Champion, 14, from Wrelton, Isabelle Baldwin, 11 and Amy Newman, 10, both from Pickering.
The girls were delighted with their achievement and would like to thank their team trainer, Alison Brown.
