WITH equestrian establishments across the country counting the cost of cancellations due to the inclement weather, it was good to see things getting back to normal at Irton, when an unaffiliated show jumping competition attracted a good number of entries.

Jacob McCulloch, a regular competitor at this venue, celebrated a double after dominating the 95 and 105cm horse classes, riding his useful all-rounder, Galway Bay.

A double celebration was also on the cards for Anya Marley, who clinched stylish victories in the 85 and 95cm pony classes, riding Clew Bay Pearl.

Cameron Hardie took the top honours in a hotly contested 75cm class, with Paddy, and Adele Robinson, riding Nutmeg, sported the red ribbons in the 65cm.
