MALTON Riding Club continued their success story last week when they were declared outright winners in the British Riding Club's northern regional championships at Bishop Burton College.
The club's intermediate showjumping team, consisting of Louise Knock riding Oreo, Jess Johnson on Dolce Vita III, Becky Blyton on On A Whim II and Bridie Holowkiewicz riding JD, were the only team to finish on zero faults after two rounds.
Teams from Yorkshire, Durham and Lincolnshire were invited to take part after qualifying at the own area shows.
Bridie, who only joined ranks with the club last year, has quickly moved up a level to join the other three club stalwarts.
The club chairman and trainer said: "The team were on fire today with each member giving all their expertise and knowledge to get round the very twisty course in a very tight time, coming second was not an option for them."
