The Middleton branch of the pony club are hosting two taster rallies for prospective new members completely free of charge, to come along and sample what pony club has to offer.

The days are open to all abilities and ages, including lead rein children.

The Middleton is among one of the oldest pony clubs in the country. It was formed in 1932 and covers the same area from which it gets its name.

Middleton district commissioner, Trish Russell says “We try to cater for everyone and run a programme of activities through out the year, including rallies, tests, achievement badges, fun rides, social occasions, specific discipline training, summer camps and pleasure rides”.

We are hosting the Area 3 Show Jumping Competition in 2015 and run the popular Junior Series Show Jumping Competition for our junior members each year with the prestigious final in October. We run shows and events for all levels from the smallest to the most capable throughout the year.

The first of the taster days is on Sunday, May 31st at Castle Howard, in the field next to the caravan park starting at 1.30pm. The second will take place on Sunday, June 7th, Towthorpe Farm, Lower Towthorpe from 10.30am. Both rallies will consist of flat work, jumping and games.
