DRESSAGE judge Tim Pearson had his work cut out judging for British dressage at Port Royal last Saturday, with a big classes and the usual high standard of horses and riders putting in some good tests.

The top six from each tests had less than five per cent between them on their final scores.

Jessica Robinson and Vivaldo did a couple of really good tests, just giving them the edge to win both the prelim four and twelve, and going home richer with the prize money in her pocket. Kathy Maclean from York was another who went home with her pockets lined from prize money by winning both of the restricted novice classes on Double Dilemma II.

Whitby's Cara Shardlow and her stunning mount, Measure for Measure managed to shake off Laura O Hagan riding Decadance in the novice 30 open section and a role reversal for the pair in the novice 24.

The results were: Prelim 4 – 1 Jessica Robinson & Vivaldo, 2 Erin Chan & Iceford Toffee, 3 Heidi Tomlinson & Valquiria, 4 Sue Hirst & Highgrange Spike, 5 Cara Shardlow & Sandinista.
