IS there no end to Bethany Shipley’s equestrian talents? From dressage and eventing to show jumping, she does it all brilliantly. The talented young rider is having a fantastic year by anyone’s standards.

Having started off the year being selected to ride at Addington international dressage for Great Britain last March, then onto the Netherlands for the international dressage riding the lovely grey, Wanour S, then over spring and summer with numerous placings on Coedfryn Top Notch.

Bethany and Coedfryn Top Notch made the local journey for them to the pony club championships at Cholmondeley Castle, in Cheshire, riding for the Middleton pony club team where the pair managed three clear and very fast rounds over a very difficult and up to height track in the open individual showjumping to win.

A very delighted Bethany said: “Coedfryn Top Notch was an absolute star today, I couldn’t be more proud of him, and it’s the first time I have ever won a saddle.”

The open dressage team comprising of Beth, Roxanne Shipley, Eliza Watson and Sophie Blades finished in sixth place as a team, the open team show jumping with Amy Small, Martha Headley, Beth Shipley and Sophie Blades finished fifth, and Amy Small taking a second place in the dressage to music.
