A MALTON company has been announced as the sponsor for an international equestrian competition.

For the second year running, AGA specialist Country Warmth is one of the sponsors for the World Champion Para Driving Class for the FEI World Para-Equestrian Driving Championships at Sandringham House in June.

The company will also have its own para driving team.

Sara Ashby Arnold, from Country Warmth, said: “It is exciting to be a bit nearer home for this championship. Sandringham is one of the top carriage driving venues in the UK.

“Our driver Birgitta took up the sport after a riding accident some years ago and regularly competes at national and club carriage driving competitions with her pony Bolelyn Clarence, Larry to his friends.”

The three-day event finishes on June 29 with a cone driving competition which will test the skill and competence of the driver along with the suppleness and obedience of the horse.
