NORTHALLERTON Equestrian Centre held its first combined training competition of the year with a large turnout.

The combined training is where dressage and showjumping play a part, with the highest dressage score along with the lowest showjumping score giving the final results.

Holly Shepherdson, from Hutton Buscel, near Scarborough, has been having tremendous dressage results.

She had a go at both the dressage and showjumping on her two ponies, Longslade Dancing Firebird and What A Dandy, taking home a first and third respectively.

Jill Blackshaw and the handsome Hugo had a couple of perfect test and jumping rounds to take home first place in two classes.
