ELIZ Cook and Boss Tweed were on flying form at what was their first visit to Friars Hill Stables dressage competition last Sunday.

Boss Tweed, now aged 17, proved he still has what it takes to catch the judge’s eye, scoring more than 70 per cent in both tests to take home first place in both the prelim tests.

Young Holly Shepherdson from Brompton-by-Sawdon, near Scarborough, is having a great time learning the tricks of the trade on her schoolmaster, Longslade Dancing Firebird, finishing second in the intro and and fourth in the prelim with a good score of 69.2 per cent.

The results were: Intro – 1 J Dyer & Jimmy, 2 Holly Shepherdson & Longslade Dancing Firebird, 3 S Miller & Daisy, 4 Amii Pettitt & Cronan Cavalier, 5 C Ingram & Blaze, 6 Beth Robinson & Joey.
