A DISPLAY of Christmas trees decorated by businesses and organisations in Norton is on show this week.

The town’s third Christmas tree festival, which is held at St Peter’s Church, raises funds for local charities.

Reverend Rachel Hirst said there were 23 trees which would be on display until Saturday.

“We have a good selection of people taking part, some who have taken part before, along with a few new ones,” she said.

“It proved very popular last time we held it a couple of years ago, so we hope everyone will call at the church and have a look at the trees.”

The Christmas tree festival will be open today (Wednesday), tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday, 4pm to 7pm, and Saturday, from 10am to 1pm. Tomorrow (Thursday) Father Christmas will be visiting from 4.30pm to 6pm. There will also be refreshments and crafts.

Entry is free with donations welcomed.
