Burglars flood house after stealing boiler
BURGLARS stole a boiler and caused flooding to an elderly couple’s home.
Thieves broke into the house in Scarborough Road, Filey, overnight on Monday, and stole a newly-installed boiler without isolating the water supply, causing water damage to the ceiling and flooding the kitchen.
The stolen boiler is an Ideal Standard, Vogue, combination boiler, and police have urged anyone who has been offered one for sale to contact them.
