A POPULAR bistro in Malton is to close this week.
Chapter One Bistro, Market Place, has entered its final week of trading.
Speaking on Facebook, a spokesperson for the bistro said: “After ten long years I have decided to hang my chef apron up and try something new.”
The bistro prides itself on its homemade food and friendly atmosphere.
Yesterday (January 9) the bistro spokesperson announced that the 10 year lease is up on the property and "I think it’s time for a change!"
They added: “We have had a lovely week with lots of brilliant messages and comments from you all!
“Tomorrow, we start our final week, so we hope to see you all for one last time.”

For the final week of trading, items in the shop are up for sale - with the message being "come and grab a bargain.”
It is not yet known what the future plans are for the bistro owners.
Chapter One Bistro declined to comment.
