FULFORD Golf Club will be hosting the R&A National Girls Under-16 Open Championship again from tomorrow to Sunday.

The amateur competition will consist of 54 holes of strokeplay over three days and there will be no cut.

Last year’s inaugural tournament was also staged at Fulford and was won by Scotland’s Hannah Darling.

The 14-year-old holed a closing 40-foot birdie putt to seal a dramatic victory and lift the trophy.

A field of 90 golfers aged between 11 and 16 will descend on Fulford from 12 different countries - England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Fulford will also host the Girls Under-16 Amateur Championship for a third time in 2020.
