BROOKLYN Under-16s gave an admirable display against classy tabletoppers Bishopthorpe but lost 7-0.

There were excellent performances in defence from Zac Holmes, Nathan Jackson and man-of-the-match Joel Preston. Cormac Hopkinson went close for Brooklyn, while Steve Hoggard and Jamie Scott were unlucky not to score. Brett Crowe and Hoggard worked tirelessly in midfield.

Kirkbymoorside U16s won 4-1 at Eastfield, with Josh Butler, Jez Underwood and Ben Richmond (2) the marksmen.

Pickering Town U15s fell behind in the first minute but hit back in style to beat Osbaldwick 6-1.

Goals came from Liam Hardy (2), Lewis Danby, after good work by Josh Gorman, man-of-the-match Liam Taylor (2), including a longrange effort after spotting the ’keeper off his line, and Jack Woodhead, with his first of the season.

Kirkbymoorside U14s pipped Heslerton U14s 2-1 with Marc Marsden and Jack Simpson their marksmen. Jacob Konya scored for Kirkbymoorside U13s but they lost 3-1 at Cayton.

Pickering U13s lost 4-2 to a wellorganised Rawcliffe. They fell 4-0 down before man-of-the-match Archie Barnes and Kieran Boyes, with a terrific header from a Barnes freekick, struck back.

Alex Lilly and Lewis Eustace were on target as Kirkbymoorside U12s beat Scalby 2-1 in the cup.

Brooklyn U12s beat Haxby 7-0 in their first game for three weeks.

Tom Walsh bagged a hat-trick, his second coming from a fine Luke Scott through ball, Stephen Kerr scored twice, firstly from Josh Carter’s cross and then with a solo effort, Jake Ullah netted when his cross went in at the far post, and Scott finally scored after twice hitting the bar.

Substitute Oli Farrow’s through ball to Walsh almost brought another goal, while Ben Pickering’s great save maintained a clean sheet.

Thornton-le-Dale U12s notched up their first league win of the season, 7-3 over Scholes Park Raiders.

The visitors struck first in an even first half, but Thornton took control as Harvey D’Alquin (3), James Mudd, Macauley Gibson and captain Sam Batty (2) netted.

Pickering Town U12s came from a goal down to beat Hamilton Panthers 6-1 with strikes from Luke Hornby and, in the second half, Hornby again, after Travis Gough’s shot rebounded off the bar, Thomas Richardson (2), one a free-kick, centre- back Ethan Chan, from 40 yards, and Marc Hansen.

Rory Leonard and Ben Teasedale both scored four goals as Kirkbymoorside U11s moved into the next round of the cup with an 8- 3 win over Heslerton U11s.

Old Malton U11s won 8-2 at Tadcaster Magnets with Jake Wiles scoring four and Harry Bennett and Tom Jenkins two each. Man-of-thematch Charlie Coulson was flawless in defence and stand-in goalkeepeer Jack Villa Fordon pulled off some incredible saves.

Kirkbymoorside U10s fell 3-0 at Cayton, while Josh Taylor netted for Kirkbymoorside U9s but they also lost 3-1 in the cup to the Corinthians.

Dylon Edwards got the only goal as Kirkbymoorside U8s beat Flamborough.

Old Malton U10s ‘A’ beat Strensall Tigers ‘A’ 5-1, being sent on the way by early goals from Von Sumsard, after good teamwork from Josh Lee, Lewis Pople and Patrick Jackson, and Pople, when converting Patrick Jackson’s through ball.

Further strikes came from Jackson (2), one from range and one from a Pople cross, and Sumsard, rounding off his fine display.

Man-of-the-match Taylor Watson and Liam Mansbridge shone in Malton’s defence.

A good team display saw Old Malton U10s ‘B’ beat Strensall Tigers ‘B’ 2-0 through goals by manof- the-match William Thomas, with a 25-yard screamer, and Joseph Matique, after his side had missed other chances.

Kirkbymoorside U11 Girls lost 1- 0 at Copmanthorpe, while Kirkby’s U14 Girls fell 4-0 to Easingwold.
