Man-of-the-match John Butler hit two goals as Kirkbymoorside Under-16s won 7-2 against Scholes Park Raiders Ben Richmond also bagged a double, with Brad Spink and Josh Berry also finding the back of the net.

Pickering Town U14s went goal crazy in a 14-0 romp against Haxby.

They hit four goals inside the first five minutes through Maurice Calton-Seal, Gabby McGill (2) and Luke Balderson to leave Haxby stunned.

Carlton-Seal and McGill ended with three goals each and Balderson topped that with five. Luke Hornby got two and Ben Metcalfe scored his first for the club.

Nine of the 13 outfield players in the squad have now scored this season.

Brooklyn U14s conceded two goals in the last five minutes but held on for a 3-2 win at Fulford.

Liam Douthwaite headed in from close range and it was 2-0 when Liam Wheeler pulled the ball back for man-of-the-match Ryan Gaughan to blast in. Wheeler scored the third when he was put through by Morgan Fraser.

Brooklyn also missed several chances. Nathan Cross, Marcus Brigham and Jared Pickering stood out.

Brooklyn U13s suffered an embarrassing second half as they lost 11-3 to Heworth in a cup clash.

Heworth scored three quick goals before Brooklyn stepped up a gear to create chances and level the scores through Iain Kerr (2) and Josh Berry, with a superb free-kick. But Brooklyn were simply not in the game after the interval.

Rory Leonard and Joe Harland both hit braces as Kirkbymoorside U11s won 7-1 at Hunmanby.

Ollie Magson, Dan Ward and Matty Tarry were also on target.

Old Malton U11s were hit by the long ball over the top as they fell 3-0 down to Pocklington en route to a 6-4 York FA Cup defeat.

Malt battled on against a team from a higher division but a hat-trick by Jakes Wiles, one goal coming from the penalty spot after man-of-the-match Theo Wilkes was fouled, and Sam Mann was not enough.

Pickering U10s ‘A’ overcame a spirited Osbaldwick, who belied their lowly league position, 6-4.

Jordan Anderson scored a first-half hat-trick to add to Owen Ellis’ first league goal of the season – tapping in after good work from Tom Wright – for a 4-2 half-time lead.

Anderson got his fourth with a clever back heel after good approach play from George Ridler and Wright scored with a bullet header in off a post.

Zameze Deans scored a quick-fire hat-trick to lead Pickering U10s ‘B’ to a 7-2 win over Osbaldwick ‘B’.

Jack Dawson added two and, after the break, Deans scored his fourth and Dawson completed his own treble. Max Fowler and Ryan Hugill impressed.

Pikes won the friendly that followed 6-1 with Fowler (2), Morwenna Talling, Alex Myers, Deans and Dawson on target.

Jake Nutton-Edward scored the only goal as Kirkbymoorside U10s won at Ayton.

Brooklyn U9s Lions lost 8-2 at Poppleton. The second half ended 2-2 with both of Brooklyn’s goals coming from Billy Leach. Danny Charters starred.

Unlucky Brooklyn U9s Tigers were edged out 3-2 at Poppleton.

Brooklyn’s Josh Garvey passed the ball to Billy Chapman, who took on two players and fired home. Then Garvey received the ball from Jacob Wellington and shot from outside the box into the top right corner.

Danny Kaye and Lewis Saunders defended well but Poppleton got a lucky break to pull a goal back and, after their goalkeeper kept them in it, they hit Brooklyn with two late sucker punches.

Kirkbymoorside U9s beat Holts 3-2 with goals by Nick Audsley (2) and Sam Jenkins, while Kirkbymoorside U8s drew 0-0 with Flamborough in their first game but won the second 3-0.

Brooklyn U8s Lions lost 4-2 to Stamford Bridge U8s. Oliver Towse got the first goal of the game and Rhys Grainge the last after a defensive mistake and some quick-thinking. The Lions lost 2-1 in the second match, Matthew Lock getting their reply. The player of the day was Joe O’Brien.

Brooklyn U8s Tigers lost 2-1 to Stamford Bridge ‘B’ in a close game. Josh McBurnie got an equaliser for the Tigers but a second equaliser would not come. The hard-working Cameron Clive was man of the match. The second game ended 5-2 to Bridge – which did not reflect the Tigers’ efforts. Lleyton Mello scored two fine goals, while Emily Cooper and Max Farrow also shone.
