Pickering Town Under-15s saw off Brooklyn U15s 5-0 in round two of the York FA Cup – but the scoreline does not tell the whole story.

The hosts scored in the first minute after a dubious off-side decision. Brooklyn then dominated but were unable to convert any of 11 chances due to poor finishing and fine goalkeeping.

Pickering had two more attacking moves in the first half and scored from both.

Brooklyn continued to press after the break but were unable to score, Jamie Scott and Cormac Hopkinson bringing further good saves, and two late goals sealed Pickering’s win.

Defender Nathan Jackson was Brooklyn’s man of the match.
