THIRSK & Sowerby Harriers runner Steve Middleton claimed second place in the Newcastle Town Moor Marathon in a personal best time of two hours 57 minutes 02 seconds.
John Worrall also had a superb run, clocking 3:13-51 to finish 14th out of 127 runners in the five-lap race around the streets of Newcastle. There were 1,114 entries in the Yorkshire Coast 10k at Scarborough and Harriers’ Dan Holdsworth came home 31st in 38-06, with stalwart Alan Harman 271st in 47-36, Ian Codling 827th in 59-39 and Marian Codling 1,002nd in 65-38.
Noel Clough was second in the V40 class at a Super Cross event in Doncaster before finishing third in a senior cyclo-cross race at Brighouse the following day.
