BUDDING young footballers took to the field last Saturday in a girls pre-season round robin festival.
Representatives from Brooklyn U10s, Brooklyn Belles, Heslerton Juniors and Old Malton St Mary's Juniors all took part as preparations continued ahead of the start of the new season this weekend.
Spokesperson Rebecca Sleightholm said: "It’s wonderful to see so many local girls involved with some excellent football being played by all of the teams!
"There was lots of fun, friendship and smiling faces throughout the morning."
Brooklyn U10s ‘lass of the grass’ was Betsy for all of hard work in defence and her organisation skills when working with her teammates.
