YORK is set to host its first-ever List 'A' match this summer.

Yorkshire will take on Warwickshire and Nottinghamshire in August at York Cricket Club’s Clifton Park.

As part of the county’s Royal London one-day Cup schedule, Yorkshire will face Warwickshire on Tuesday, August 3 and then entertain Nottinghamshire on Friday, August 6.

In 2019, York staged a first-class match, as Yorkshire were beaten by Warwickshire, for the first time since 1890.

And the city was scheduled to host two one-day Cup matches last year, before the pandemic forced the Cup’s cancellation.

The news comes as Yorkshire’s one-day Cup and Vitality T20 Blast fixtures were announced.

Yorkshire will play a National Counties friendly against Northumberland on July 20. The venue has yet to be confirmed.
