YORK City Knights have retained forward Sam Scott for the 2021 season.
Scott will enter his fifth season with the Knights across two spells having rejoined the club ahead of the 2018 season having had a previous spell in 2013, when he won the Players’ Player of the Year and The Press Player of the Year.
The 30-year-old second-row played in all of York's six matches in 2020 before the curtailment of the Betfred Championship season amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Knights head coach James Ford said: “I’m pleased to continue working with Sam, I felt he was going well in 2020 - certainly his on the ball efforts.
"Sam brings a degree of aggression to our pack which enables players around him to impose their skill set on the game.
“Sam also has a good ability to disrupt the markers, find late offloads that have proved beneficial over the last few seasons and uses his intelligence to identify potential mismatches on short sides."
