YORK City's pre-season friendly at Notts County has been selected as a test event to pilot the return of spectators - though tickets will not be provided to away fans.
For the game on Saturday, September 26 (3pm), 1,000 Magpies season ticket holders and seasonal hospitality members will be allowed to take to the Derek Pavis stand in a socially-distanced manner.
Meanwhile, the National League has asked the Government that fans be allowed back into grounds for the October 3 restart with "social distancing and other Covid-secure measures in place".
"National League clubs have calculated their grounds' new socially-distanced capacity," a statement on their website reads.
"While crowds could be accommodated up to a level of 20 to 30 per cent of each stadium's normal capacity in accordance with the Sports Grounds Safety Authority guidance, the National League has asked the Government to allow up to 1,000 spectators in all grounds from October as a temporary solution that is validated by the Government’s approved pilot events conducted in September."
