YORKSHIRE and Leicestershire continue to be frustrated by the weather at Emerald Headingley, with no play possible so far on day two of the final round Bob Willis Trophy fixture.
By the end of the day, Yorkshire’s three home North Group games will have seen more than 400 overs lost to rain and bad light combined.
Rain has been the issue today. Heavy morning rain forced a delayed start and an early lunch at 12.15pm, with it stopping to allow umpires Peter Hartley and James Middlebrook to pencil in a 2pm start.
Unfortunately, the rain returned approximately 40 minutes beforehand.
It has, however, stopped again, with an inspection now due at 4pm.
If and when plays resumes, Yorkshire would do so on 36 for two in their first-innings reply to Leicestershire’s 124.
