EBBERSTON B lifted the Lloyd Dowson Cricket Cup after a 28-run victory over Ravenscar in the final at Flixton.
Captain Sam Megginson was presented with the trophy by Vanessa Rowbottom, a partner of sponsors Lloyd Dowson, after Ebberston's victory in the Andy Hire Scarborough Evening League competition.
Ebberston batted first and struggled with the pace of the excellent pitch, but added runs in the middle order with a great captain's innings from Megginson with 26 runs.
He was backed up by Jordan Newton, with 20 runs, to finish off with a reasonably respectable score of 115 all out on the last ball of their allotted overs.
Ravenscar captain Freddie Barker bowled very well to take 5-37 and Jon Stokoe took four catches.
In reply, Ravenscar struggled to score runs and got behind the run rate required with only Shaun Bayes with 28 runs showing any aggression against an excellent bowling attack.
Ebberston's best bowler was Neil Eddon with 2-19, as he led a youthful bowling attack.
