NEW recruit Duanne Oliver has been named in a 19-man squad for Yorkshire CC’s South African tour in Potchefstroom.

The right-armed seamer is expected to meet his new team-mates and spend five days training with them.

However, having bowled a lot of overs in recent months, the 26-year-old is unlikely to require the same workload as the rest of the squad, who will play a 50-over fixture against Cardiff MCCU on Wednesday, March 13, before tackling Nottinghamshire and Durham in two-day contests.

The White Rose outfit will fly out to Africa for the matches after a three-day training camp in Loughborough early next week.

Yorkshire squad: Gary Balance, Tim Bresnan, Harry Brook, Karl Carver, Ben Coad, Will Fraine, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Jack Leaning, James Logan, Adam Lyth, Duanne Olivier, Steven Patterson, Mat Pillans, Josh Poysden, Josh Shaw, Jonny Tattersall, Jordan Thompson, Matthew Waite and Jared Warner.

Matthew Fisher, meanwhile, will travel to Desert Springs in Spain where the seamer will continue his rehabilitation with a view to being fully fit early in the season.

Batsman Kohler-Cadmore has also been awarded his first-XI cap ahead of the 2019 season, whilst ex-England captain and World Cup winner Danielle Hazell has been appointed as head coach of the Yorkshire Diamonds.
