DANNY GRAY bagged a brace as Huntington Rovers continued to underline their York Minster Engineering League title potential with a 5-1 triumph over Dringhouses

The final flattered Rovers somewhat after Dringhouses had been in control for much of the first half which ended goalless.

But, in the second period, the hosts made the most of their chances to collect the points.

JP Vass opened the scoring, finishing a one-on-one on the break.

The visitors hit back through James Green but Chris Dyson made it 2-1 to Rovers who sealed victory with a Jonny Bullivant effort and Gray' double.

The second period saw F1 create some early chances, and they were rewarded with a goal in the 68th minute following a good passing move.

However, Marshall completed his hat-trick shortly after, controlling a cross and stretching to fire the ball home.

Paul Moran struck twice to guide Thorpe United to a 2-1 success over neighbours Hemingbrough United, for whom Nathan Parker replied.

Easingwold Town fell behind by two goals at home to Tockwith after just ten minutes and never managed to recover as the scoring remained unaltered at the final whistle.
