SARAH JACKSON starred as Burnholme inflicted the first defeat on Acomb Cons Club in the York John Smith’s Ladies’ Darts League.

Jane Dobson, Jo West, Marj Pearson and Sharon Matthews sealed Burnholme’s victory over the table-toppers.

Fulfordgate also lost for the first time as Acorn Rugby captain Rose Gray set her team on the road to victory.

Sarah and Ellie Rankeillor and Zoey Chadwick also won for Acorn before the pair of Gray and Lisa Benton secured match points.

Severus ‘B’ got their first win, beating Slipper 6-3 with Wendy Storr gaming in 20 darts.

Angie Kaya, Dot Sellars and Sharon Mountain also won for division one's bottom side. Anita Adams and Vicky Sellers replied for Slipper.

Marcia also broke their duck with a 6-3 result against visitors Tramways, captain Barbara Russell hitting three tons for the victors.

Priory sneaked into top spot in division two after coming from 3-0 down to beat close rivals Severus ‘A’ 5-4. Marianne Deamer set the ball rolling for Priory, and the pair of Mandy Young and Sheila Harrison sealed victory.

Meanwhile, New Earswick Bowls went top of the York White Rose Ladies’ League with a 5-2 win over King William. Carol Tragni threw a 124 score in the triples.

It is tight after two rounds of fixtures with no team having a 100 per cent record, other than Burton Lane and New York, who have played only once each.
