A TEENAGER suffered back and arm injuries after falling off his mountain bike.
The 15-year-old boy was riding in Raincliffe Woods, near Scarborough, yesterday (Monday) when the accident happened at 2.15pm.
Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team (SRMRT) were called in by Yorkshire Ambulance Service and Yorkshire Air Ambulance to help at the scene.
A spokesperson for SRMRT said: "Once on scene we established the need for our vacuum mattress and Bell stretcher.
"When safely packaged, the patient was carried by team members out of the woods and down the road to the waiting air ambulance for subsequent evacuation to James Cook University Hospital and definitive medical care.
"We wish the young man a speedy recovery."
