THREE people have been arrested after a car travelling at more than 120mph was stopped on the A64.
North Yorkshire Police Road Policing Group tweeted that a safety camera van operator alerted officers to the vehicle.
"Stopped near Rillington and the occupants play a game of musical chairs - resulting in three males arrested, two positive drug wipes for cannabis also."
Police dog Skye attended and located some hidden cannabis - the occupants will be interviewed today about numerous offences.
During the rest of the night, police tweeted about a range of incidents including:
- Disorder in York, 'sadly a result of people having too much alcohol on board and making poor decisions. Thankfully no serious injuries and inquiries ongoing.'
- Crash on the A19 near Thirsk. "Both occupants claimed not to be driving, however both tested positive for cannabis."
