MEMBERS of Malton and Norton Rotary Club have donated £4,000 to the children’s cancer charity Candlelighters.
The money was raised at the present night of the previous president, Tony Kingston, which was held at Malton’s Talbot Hotel.
Mr Kingston handed the cheque over to Freddie Campbell, his brother Finn and father Martin.
The family have been supported by Candlelighters, since Freddie, from Norton, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in November 2017.
Malton and Norton Rotary Club holds regular events throughout to year, including a pop-up posh charity shop, golf day and other activities to support local, national and international charities, as well as deserving causes within the Malton and Norton area.
