A PICKERING business has presented a cheque for £550 to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Home From Home Holidays held various raffles and quizzes during their 2019 holidays to raise donations for the company’s charity of the year. The cheque was presented at their annual dinner, hosted at the Forest and Vale in Pickering, to Kevin Hutchinson from the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Jill Bateman, the owner of Home From Home Holidays, said: “I started Home From Home Holidays about nine years ago and it’s been doing quite well.
“Each year we choose a charity of the year and dedicate time and effort to raising the money,” she said.
“In 2018, we decided to pick Ryedale Mountain Rescue and last year we honoured the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, which is so important to the local community.”
The 2020 chosen charity of the year is currently being decided.
