THE York Theatre Royal Studio has two new forthcoming plays - Gutted and Silence.
Gutted, on Thursday November 1, tells the story of Liz who has an embarrassing problem, and these yoghurts aren’t helping: her body’s acting up. Touring after acclaimed performances across the UK, Gutted is Liz Richardson’s story as she tells it, a frank and funny account of living as a twenty-something with an inflammatory bowel disease.
Packed with colourful characters met along the way, Liz invites you to join her on her shameless tale of love, laughter and loos.
Co-created by Tara Robinson and described by audiences as witty and compelling, Gutted is a new piece of contemporary theatre.
Silence takes us back to London in1996. It’s Ewa’s birthday, her daughter Anna is coming home from university with a secret to share but Maria has some news of her own. As wartime memories of Siberia resurface, old steps are retraced to uncover the secrets of the past and a Polish heritage that unites and divides them.
Nicola Werenowska’s funny and fascinating new play Silence hurtles between Warsaw and London over two decades and three generations of a Polish/British family. The production comes to York Theatre Royal Studio on November 2 and 3
