This weekend the Super Bowl LVI will see the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals go head to head but that won’t be the only thing you’ll see if you tune in.

Amid the sporting action on Sunday, February 13 you’ll also see a variety of adverts during the viewing.

Here’s a roundup of some of the adverts expected to be shown on Sunday evening.

Super Bowl commercials 2022

Food and drink-based adverts

Lay’s

Friends Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd reminisce on moments in their friendship that all featured Lay’s crisps including the time one of them bought a house that was haunted.

While it’s a comical advert, it might also make you jump since it features scary women that look like they’re straight out of a horror movie.

Hellmann’s

This advert drives home the importance of not wasting food that could still be used for other dishes.

Offering alternatives to throwing away food might just make you realise that the bin isn’t the only place for it to go.

Avocados From Mexico

Starting with a competitive conversation at a tailgate, this short advert soon has a more pleasant atmosphere when Avocados From Mexico are added to the food options.

If you're an avocado lover, you'll understand the difference adding the fruit makes.

Taco Bell

If clowns aren’t your thing, when the Taco Bell advert comes on, it might just be your cue to make a brew.

The clown students decide to take a trip to a Taco Bell restaurant, here’s how it went.

Bud Light Seltzer Hard Soda

This short commercial shows the effect of opening a can of Bud Light Seltzer Hard Soda.

Spoiler alert, it makes the fridge turn into a pathway to a new location – the “Land of Loud Flavors”.

Budweiser

While a horse injures itself during this advert, it’s not all bad.

The strong recovery it makes might just give Super Bowl fans the hope they need when watching the game.

Car- based adverts

BMW USA

With food, drinks and TV all featuring in this round-up, it’s now time for a car-based ad to make an appearance.

This BMW USA advert shows Zeus and Hera retire to Palm Springs, California. While there, Zeus helps his neighbour and friends by using his lightning bolt power to charge things.

Before long, Zeus is introduced to the BMX iX, an all-electric car.

General Motors

In this advert, Dr. EV-il is convinced to help the planet by changing cars so they’re all-electric.

While at first, he isn’t fond of the idea, he does come round to it by the end of the advert.

Fitness and activity-based adverts

Planet Fitness

See the difference in Lindsay noticed by those around her since she started exercising with Planet Fitness.

The advert sends the message that exercise can improve many aspects of your life including your sleeping pattern.

Michelob Ultra

If you’ve been to a bowling alley, you’ll know what it’s like to want to put your best performance in and this advert shows the competitiveness that naturally comes with it.

The Super Bowl commercials don’t stop there. Here are the adverts for Amazon, Booking.com, TurboTax and Peacock.

Amazon

Featuring Amazon’s Alexa, this advert shows a couple going about their day but not without Alexa interrupting. The device begins to comically read the pair’s minds.

For those wondering how mindreading works, watch the YouTube video to better understand the concept.

Booking.com

If your team doesn’t provide the performance you’d hoped for on Sunday, booking a holiday might be what you need to distract yourself.

This advert sees Idris Elba move between locations including a log cabin and a sauna.

TurboTax

You might also see this TurboTax advert while you’re sitting comfy and taking in the match.

This commercial gives viewers the reassurance that TurboTax can help by assigning a tax expert that best suits its customers.

Peacock

If you’re a fan of the well-known TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, this Peacock advert will get you reminiscing.

Peacock reveals details of a new series of Bel-Air in the advert.
