Fans have been reacting to trying to get tickets for Liam Gallagher’s Knebworth gigs as they went on sale today at 10am.

The former Oasis frontman announced yesterday a second date would be added to the gig due to the huge interest.

Gallagher’s return to the venue where Oasis performed two days of iconic concerts in 1996 was always bound to drum up demand, and it was marked earlier this year with the release of a feature-length documentary Oasis Knebworth 1996.

It is set to be the biggest show of his solo career.

He is also set to release his new album ‘C’MON YOU KNOW’ on May 27th as he looks to score a fourth consecutive number one UK record.

Opening the iconic Knebworth Park stage on Friday 3rd June will be Kasabian plus more to be announced.

Joining Liam on Saturday 4th June will be, Goat Girl, Fat White Family, very special guest Michael Kiwanuka and Kasabian.

How were fans reacting on social media?

As soon as 10am rolled around fans were eager to get their hands on tickets.

Howveer, some were frustrated with trying to use Ticketmaster to attend the event, including Jake Lawrence.

He tweeted out: "@Ticketmaster went to buy tickets for Liam Gallagher at knebworth and it kept on saying my card number was wrong even though it was correct so now I’m right at the back of queue and unlikely to get a ticket, cheers for that."

He wasn't the only person who had issues with payment not being accepted.

Jack Parry said: "Had knebworth tickets in the basket and ticketmaster wouldn’t accept payment, stuck at the back of the queue again."

Hayley was in a similar boat, saying: "The STRESS to get @liamgallagher tickets @Ticketmaster repeatedly telling me my debit or credit card details are wrong (they're not) #knebworth."

Some were lucky enough to get ahold of tickets, including Tom McGarry who was one of those who got in early, and tweeted out: "Knebworth sorted for next year, today is a very very good day."

Matt Hunt was also estatic, saying: "LG knebworth tickets secured odds of Matt crying to Stand By Me 6/1 (new customer offer T&C’s apply)".

Natahn Fuller, who saw the original Oasis Knebworth concert 25 years ago, was unable to get a ticket.

He tweeted: "I was lucky enough to see @liamgallagher at Knebworth in 96, arguably the greatest concert ever! I tell my kids about it now! Couldn’t get tickets for this one but to those of you that did ….. have a blast, make memories."
