MAY we say a sincere thank-you to those people who took the time to contact us when we recently appealed for any photographic evidence of our home when it was a Railway Gatehouse on the Malton to Pickering line until it closed.
We would especially like to thank Mrs A Holdsworth who sent us a delightful letter informing us about a DVD which showed our property not once, but twice.
And most recently, Mike Potter who very kindly called round and delivered two photographs that were also taken from DVDs.
We have been overwhelmed by people’s kindness, even the gentleman who waited patiently outside the Gazette’s Malton office early one morning with a pile of railway books for us to look through.
If any of you are passing by anytime, please call in so we can say thank you in person.
John and Deanna Briggs, Low Marishes
