A HEALTHY menu cooked up by television chef James Martin for the NHS in Scarborough is now to be introduced at Bridlington Hospital.
The Saturday Kitchen presenter worked with staff at Scarborough Hospital last year, as part of a week-long television series, to design an appetising and healthy menu for patients.
The food has proved such a success that the menu will now be introduced at the trust’s other hospital in Bridlington.
Pat Bell, Scarborough Hospital’s catering manager, who recently took over the running of catering at Bridlington, said: “We are currently working with James on producing our next seasonal menu which will also be rolled out at Bridlington Hospital.
“From this Monday we will be introducing fresh homemade soup to the menu at Bridlington – which has proved to be one of the most successful changes that James has made to our menu.”
