CHARITIES Next Steps and Jessie’s Fund will receive £3,243.81 each thanks to the fundraising efforts of the past chairman of Ryedale District Council.
Coun Di Keal made the organisations her designated charities during her year as chairman. Next Steps provides advice, support and social enterprise employment for people with a variety of mental health problems in Ryedale. Meanwhile, Jessie’s Fund is a UK charity helping seriously ill and disabled children by using music for communication and for therapy. Coun Keal said: “I hope my year also let more people know about the brilliant work that Next Steps and Jessie’s Fund do and that local people will continue to support these exceptional charities.”
