DETECTIVES in North Yorkshire are renewing their appeal to trace the man responsible for a robbery in March and have released an e-fit of the suspect.

The robbery occurred in Northallerton just after 3am on Saturday, March 21, close to the mini-roundabout in Romanby Road, where Alverton Lane exits the Applegarth car park, when a 19-year-old local man was walking from the High Street towards Romanby.

The victim was approached by a man who demanded that he hand over his mobile phone.

After the suspect took the Samsung mobile phone he punched the victim in the face and knocked him to the ground where he continued the assault by kicking him.

The only description of the offender is that he is approximately 5ft 8in to 5ft 10in tall, with light-coloured hair. Following the robbery the offender ran off towards the High Street with another man.
