A MAN accused of causing a crash which led to the death of a paramedic has appeared in court.
Jonathan Hill is charged with causing death by dangerous driving following the collision on the A170, near Kirkbymoorside, earlier this year which claimed the life of 39-year-old Timothy John Wiley.
The victim, who worked for Yorkshire Ambulance Service, was driving towards his home in Kirkbymoorside at around 8.50pm on Tuesday, March 10, when his blue Audi A4 was involved in a collision with a black Vauxhall Vectra. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hill, 21, of Old Farm Close, Pickering, did not enter a plea to the allegation he faces when he appeared in the dock at York Crown Court yesterday during a five-minute hearing.
He was granted conditional bail and will next appear before a judge on March 22 next year.
