Firefighters have tackled a fire in the open in a residential York street.
The crew was called to the rubbish on fire in Kirkham Avenue, off Byland Avenue in Heworth, at about 7.10am on Tuesday (September 29).
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the fire measured about 0.5m by 0.5m.
Its crew from York extinguished the blaze using a backpack sprayer and a bucket, a fire service spokesperson said.
