A MOTORCYCLIST in his 50s has suffered life-threatening injuries following a crash with a taxi in North Yorkshire.
The crash happened at around 3.30pm yesterday (Saturday, September 26), on The Stray at Coneysthorpe, near Castle Howard.
Police said the injured man, from North Lincolnshire, was riding a white Yamaha motorcycle southbound with another motorcyclist when he collided with a red Toyota Auris taxi travelling in the opposite direction.

The motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The road remained closed until just before 8pm to allow for a full collision investigation and vehicle recovery.
North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage.
A police spokesperson said: "We are urging witnesses to the collision itself to come forward as soon as possible, as well as anyone who may recall seeing either of the vehicles prior to the incident.
"This includes motorists with relevant dashcam footage."
