Retailers are being invited to a free event focused on tackling shop crime and improving safety.
Hosted by Harrogate Business Improvement District (BID), the free session will take place on Wednesday, September 30, from 11am to 1pm at The Crown Hotel in Harrogate.
Titled Fight Back Against Retail Crime, the event will focus on the challenges faced by businesses and the steps they can take to prevent and respond to incidents.
Paul Evans, Business Crime Officer at Harrogate BID, said: "Retail crime is an issue that affects businesses of all sizes, and we know how frustrating and damaging it can be for staff and businesses.
"One of the most effective ways of tackling it is by working together, sharing information and making sure businesses know what support is available to them.
"This event is about bringing those different voices together and giving businesses practical information they can take away and use."
The event will also highlight the importance of collaboration between businesses, the police and other organisations.
Speakers will include representatives from the National Business Crime Centre, North Yorkshire Police, ShopSafe, and Sainsbury's.
Attendees will also have the chance to connect with other businesses and learn about support services such as ShopSafe.
