UPDATE: Traffic around the area has since eased.

MOTORISTS are being warned of high and building traffic along a main road in North Yorkshire.

Drivers can expect delays of nine minutes, which are increasing on the A169 Northbound from Old Malton.

The incident was reported to AA Traffic shortly after 9am today and continues to be heavy.

Average speed along the road is ten mph.
