A NUMBER of farm buildings are on fire in North Yorkshire following a violent thunderstorm this evening (Sunday).
Emergency services are at the scene at Kirby Misperton, near Flamingo Land.
It is reported the fire has spread into a grain barn.
Around five crews are dealing with the incident including Malton and Pickering.
Police are also at the scene.
The property has possibly been struck by lightning following the earlier storm.
The thunder and lightning is expected to continue into the night.
