POLICE have issued an update after a major incident disrupted trains between York and North Yorkshire.
British Transport Police was called to Potters Bar Station at 11.35am today following a reports of a casualty on the tracks.
Trains running from London and Stevenage, which affected LNER services running between London Kings Cross, York, Harrogate and Leeds, were cancelled and delayed as emergency services worked to make the scene safe.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers attended along with paramedics but sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
All lines have since reopened.
